My Cat's Plan to Keep Me From Traveling.

My cat has had enough.

She's hatched a plan.

A Cat Plan to keep me from traveling anymore.

If she can pin me into the bed at night..... I won't stray during the day.

The Cat Plan started a couple of weeks ago when I returned home from my travels.

Exhausted from driving 1400 miles in 2 days.....I just fell into bed early in the evening.

Kitty sprang into action.

She jumped up onto the bed, nested near my left cheek and started purring.

She inched closer to me every couple of minutes until my ear was covered in fur. It was like wearing a unilateral muffler. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Two hours later she changed positions.

Groggy, I wondered why I was hot.

I reached up and felt a cat on my head.

"What you doing up there kitty?"

"Purrrrrrrrrrrrrr"

I was to0 tired to shoo her away.....her body warmth lulled me back to sleep.

And then in a couple of hours.....she changed positions.

Now on my right cheek....she snuggled close. By this time of the night, I'm sleeping on my side....so I sneezed because her long soft hair tickled my nose.

"Kitty kitty what you doing?" I mumbled into her fur.

"Purrrrrrrrrrrrrr."

Just as the first light hit the bedroom, FancyPants moved to her last spot .....across my knees.

Figuring the light is going to wake me.....she puts her full weight on my legs to prevent me from leaving.

It works until my alarm clock rings.

"Kitty Kitty.....get off my knees..... I have to get out of bed."

This time there is no purring.....there is just the look....the look which says.....you better come back or I'll be doubly cat pissed at you. Enough of this travel bullshit.

"I'll be back kitty......I'll be back"

Kitty curls up and waits.

She gives me the eye.

The cat plan has been in effect for two weeks now.......she's one determined cat....and I don't have any travel plans for a long time.

I'd tell her that....but I'm sort of getting used to have a kitty muffler and nightcap.

Sunlight pours into the window....cat pins down my knees.

Too good not to Post.......
